Congratulations to Andrea Libman for winning the first UBCP/ACTRA award in the category Best Voice!

It was inevitable that a My Little Pony actor would win in this category, as all five nominees (Trevor Devall, Andrea Libman, Tabitha St Germain, Lee Tockar, and Sam Vincent) are working on the show, as we reported in September. Two of them, however, were nominated for roles in other shows.

This news comes to us via The Round Stable who quote the Vancouver Sun. The paper reports the full list of winners as follows.

UBCP/ACTRA Award for Best Actress: Camille Sullivan, Sisters & Brothers; UBCP/ACTRA Award for Best Actor: Stephen Lobo, Afghan Luke; UBCP/ACTRA Award for Best Newcomer: Kacey Rohl, Sisters & Brothers; UBCP/ACTRA Award for Best Voice: Andrea Libman, My Little Pony – Friendship is Magic; UBCP/ACTRA Award for Best Stunt: Phil Mitchell, True Justice – Urban Warfare; The John Juliani Award of Excellence was presented to Melissa Stubbs and the Lorena Gale Woman of Distinction Award was presented to Carol Whiteman.

According to their own September 2012 press release,

The Union of British Columbia Performers (UBCP/ACTRA) is an autonomous branch of ACTRA (Alliance of Canadian Cinema, Television and Radio Artists), the national organization of professional performers working in the English-language recorded media in Canada. ACTRA represents the interests of 22,000 members across Canada – the foundation of Canada’s highly acclaimed professional performing community.

Andrea Libman holds a bachelor’s degree in applied science, in case you were wondering about DeathPwny’s rendition above.
