According to the following synopses of upcoming new episodes of FOX’s Bob’s Burgers, on Sunday, April 13, the episode entitled “The Equestranauts” will air, which plainly states will be an “homage” to bronies (dubbed as “equesticles”). This conveniently ties into the show as Bob’s daughter, Tina Belcher, is known to be a fan of pony toys and horsie things. Read the synopsis below and the full press release after the break (from Derek Russell’s tumblr).

The Equestranauts – Sunday, April 13 (7:00-7:30 PM ET/PT)
In an homage to the “Bronies” subculture, Tina attends her first Equestra-con, a convention based on her favorite animated pony show, “The Equestranauts.” To her surprise, she finds that the show’s fans are middle-aged men (called “Equesticles.”) When a powerful super-fan tricks Tina out of her rare toy pony it’s up to Bob to go undercover and get it back.

“tricks Tina out of her rare toy pony”? Aw, come on.

inb4 another production that slanders bronies as freaks

Im still waiting a production who shows anime, videogames, fantasy, sci-fi… fans as a musculated guys surrounded by hundreds of girls.

Sriously we aren´ t special snowflakes. Bronies had to learn to laugh of himselves for a fucking time, a thing who with the time seems to be lost in this place

Personally? I think this will be bloody hilarious. I’m cool with laughing at what I enjoy, it’d be a rather boring thing to be a fan of if I had to be dead serious at every jab made at us.

Oh come on. We’re not middle age men. We’re teenagers and 20 somethings.

lets hope this isnt going to be TOO negative hmm? i certainly hope not. i personally have not seen the show so i do not know what to expect. and as far as im concerned about us being “freaks” just watch the bronies documentary, it really sheds alot of light on what we really are.

yeah, its a show made by fox. prepare for extreme neigh-saying. if anyone remembers our past issues with them. if not, look it up. it wasnt pretty.

    Hey. I’m a middle-aged man.

    I’m glad I don’t watch this show.

Oh, come on, now. Learn to laugh a little at yourselves, I have no idea how you guys have remained in the fandom and stayed sane this long without chuckling at every little quip and jab made at the fandom. Don’t live vicariously through your fandom, but with it. Laugh at the fact that we enjoy a silly kids show. Because we haven’t lost ourselves to the point where the only thing worth laughing at is at the detriment of everyone else’s well-being.

If I got disappointed or angry at every little reference made to bronies, good or bad, I’d be an incredibly angry man for no good rhyme or reason. And I do wish I didn’t have to say that I’ve seen cases that take things that way.

If anything, they love poking fun because of how poorly the majority reacts to it. Or the vocal minority, either or. The reactions are absurd, regardless. (See – Every last reaction to finales, subtle hints to the brony fandom, DWM, etc. Seriously guys, chill out. We’re popular. Capitalize on it instead of whining rarity-style.)
