ModernMom getting in on the Royal Wedding Action
Seems ModernMom is getting into the wedding action. The preview party last Saturday featured Brooke Burke from ModernMom and Dancing with the Stars in place of Tori Spelling. They are holding a Twitter contest, starting on April 19th between 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. PST. Tweet something with #ponywedding in it to them on Twitter to enter a chance to win one of six My Little Pony prize packs, which includes the Friendship Express train set. The grand prize winner will get a Sony Bloggie.
BizBash – Hub Celebrates MLP with Wedding-Themed Bridle Party for Families
A quick article from BizBash about the Bridle Shower event that took place on Saturday at the Royal/T. It notes some of the events that took place, such as Pinkie Pie & Applejack’s Cake Confectionery, Rarity’s Closet, a photo-op in Twilight’s Moment in the Spotlight Area, bouquet making in Fluttershy’s Flower Boutique, and Rainbow Dash’s Horseshoe Toss. It notes about half way that Brooke Burke introduced the two wedding episodes and began it with a traditional toast. You can read the full (but short) article here.
My Little Pony Project
Actually Shelltoon of the IRCHighWay clan and MLP Arena pointed this out to me a few months ago, unfortunately I forgot to save links and report on it. In general celebration for 30 years of My Little Pony, Hasbro and the Toy Art Gallery has been working on a show of customized ponies. This special exhibition launches in Los Angeles on 5/5/12 at Toy Art Gallery and will showcase the MLP Project Charity Ponies, 18″ MLP figures designed by international fine artists, and MLP pop-up shop by WeLoveFine. Select shops from Toy Art Gallery to JapanLA, Joyrich, Munky King, and more will host secret pony items, turning Melrose Avenue into “My Little Pony Avenue.”
On 5/12/12 there will be an MLP screening and panel with the voice actors. (Seems to be no other information; will require tickets.) Also on 5/12 there will be an autograph poster signing and meet & greet at the Toy Art Gallery. (Event is free.)
Then on 5/19/12 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., there will be an MLP Family Day, with episode watching, face painting, and (ugh) eating ponyful cupcakes. This event is also free.
