LA Weekly: The My Little Pony Project @ The Toy Art Gallery

So as mentioned multiple times in the past, over the next two weeks is the My Little Pony Project show going on in Los Angeles at the Toy Art Gallery (TAG). This weekend was the opening where people got to see the 18 inch figures designed and created by artists from all over the globe. As of today LA Weekly has released a 55 slide gallery of the show, including many of the figures on display and some of the people who turned out to look. I flipped through most of it, the Trojan Horse figure caught my eye. There’s even a Play Skool knight in the eye hole.

From the gallery:

The My Little Pony Project exhibition launched in Los Angeles last Saturday night at the Toy Art Gallery and showcased the My Little Pony Project charity ponies, 18″ My Little Pony figures designed by international fine artists, and a My Little Pony pop-up shop by WeLoveFine. Stores along Melrose Avenue from Toy Art Gallery to JapanLA, Joyrich, Munky King, and more hosted secret pony items, turning the famous street into “My Little Pony Avenue”. The exhibition runs from May 5 to May 26. All photos by Shannon Cottrell.
